Knights of the Old Republic is now available on Nintendo Switch, so it's time to revisit a classic

While we all wait for the confirmed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic reboot to arrive, I think now is a good time to review the original that began it all.

The downloadable version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (which was previously exclusively available on Xbox and PC) is now available for $14.99 USD on the Nintendo Switch eShop. If you have wonderful recollections of playing this classic, check out the launch trailer below to relive all of your childhood memories.

According to Nintendo's official explanation on their website:

“Four thousand years before the Galactic Empire, hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen in battle against the ruthless Sith and you are the last hope of the Jedi Order. Can you master the awesome power of the Force and save the Republic? Or will you fall to the lure of the dark side?”

I recommend giving Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic a try if you haven't already. Although the graphics and gameplay are already outdated, the plot remains epic, and creating your own ship and group of playable characters is always a fun. It was revolutionary at the time to be able to choose between the Light and Dark Sides of the Force, but today you can do it while sitting on the toilet or resting in your bed. Is there anything greater than that?
