Previously, the 'Passport' codename was associated with Google's Pixel foldable, but the tech giant appears to have altered its moniker to 'Pipit' at some time. It's unknown why, but it's happened before, and it's not uncommon for internal project codenames to change in the middle of development.

The foldable Pixel's camera, according to 9to5Google, will be accessible when the phone is folded, implying that you will be able to utilize it even when the phone is closed.

The Pixel Fold will also include two 8-megapixel IMX355 sensors, one on the inside and one on the outside. Both of these 8-megapixel cameras will most likely be utilized for selfies, one above the external display and the other below it.

It's not uncommon for a foldable gadget to have a lower-quality camera, which is unfortunate. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3, for example, has inferior camera specs than the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

9to5Google also discovered code in the Google Camera app that refers to the foldable as "isPixel2022Foldable," implying that the device might be released as early as next year.

If Google's Android 12L release timeline is correct, the Pixel Fold won't be available until March at the earliest.
